Jim Galletto

During high school and in the summers off from college, where he studied construction management and geology, Jim worked as a carpenter for a high-end remodel contractor in Hillsborough, CA. During this time his natural leadership abilities developed quickly and he was given a position of crew foreman. A short time later a rare opportunity arose and he was accepted into a program in the Antarctic where he spent two years working for ITT and the National Science Foundation on a variety of challenging projects.

Jim came back to the states and after completing projects in Arizona, Palm Desert, Big Bear, Sonoma and the San Francisco Peninsula he then moved to Lake Tahoe. Tahoe was a special place that he had developed a deep love and respect for during the many childhood summer trips spent at their family cabin. He started his own company Galletto Construction in 1988. His lakefront projects are where he became known for his high level of integrity and his hands on leadership style. His professional yet relaxed demeanor lends itself to the constant client interactions that complex projects require. Jim is happy to have developed lasting relationships with all of his past clients. 

Matt Berry

After graduating with a BS in Construction Management from Washington State University in 1997, Matt moved to Lake Tahoe to fulfill two of his dreams: a career creating one of kind custom homes in the mountains and to hone his passion for skiing and mountaineering. Since Matt arrived at the lake he has been with Galletto Construction and he feels fortunate to be working with and managing a great group of craftsmen and subcontractors building unique mountain homes. We here at Galletto Construction are proud to have such a conscientious and talented manager on our team. Matt lives in Tahoe City with his wife and two young boys. 

Shelton Gregory

Shelton  has been with Galletto Construction since 1990. Shelton’s depth and problem solving skills streamline the inevitable challenges present during complex projects. His natural ability to master details and complicated processes is complimented by his solid work ethic making Shelton an invaluable asset of the Galletto Construction management team. He enjoys a busy life with his family in Tahoe City.
